COME SHOP WITH ME POST LOCKDOWN PRIMARK SWANSEA HAUL #WithMe! SUMMER 2020 | LILY OF NIGERIA

Psalm 40:5 KJV
Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned b up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Sneak peak of some items I bought not featured in this post. Watch the YouTube video for more.

Welcome, y'all! I went to Primark on the day it opened here to have a look and pick some items I had run out of and needed to restock. How are you doing? Seriously, I hope you're coping, or at least trying to?

Most of the items I got has summer written all over them. Which ones do you like the most?
Let me know your thoughts about the video. Please don't forget to subscribe. As promised in the video, here are some photos from my Primark haul that did not make it into the video. Enjoy...

In the video you will have seen when I picked up these black eyeliners.

Black cotton leggings
I got them in a size XS but quickly found out they were too tight so I got them changed to a Small.

These wipes have always been on my trial list. They were on sale for 70P, and come in green, pink and blue.

I found that each colour is for a particular skin type, so I got these pink ones for sensitive skin.

I like Primark press on nails. Like, like like kinda like! I got these ones in pink. If you've watched my previous YouTube video here, you'd have seen me wearing the purple matte nails.

This time around I got some press on nail glue because the one inside the press on nail pack usually dries out after a while.

I was eyeing this perfume before the lockdown and glad to have gotten it this time around. It has a very nice scent.

Asides this perfume being so cute and travel size friendly, it actually has a lovely warm scent.

The only reason I got this nail polish is because I needed something to paint my toe nails. It's something I've fallen in love with doing this lockdown period.

Initially I bought me some Duo lash glue from Primark because the one I bought from zaron cosmetics dried out.

However, I had to return them because I got these ones from Superdrug 😊

I've always fancied one of these, and decided that fate brought us together; hence the price drop, and pink colour.

Don't ask me why I got this, even I don't know 😂. I'm thinking it'll make a good keychain.

I got this pink passport cover because I think it is very cute and my passport needs an actual cover.

Thank you for being here today. See you soon.

All my love,
Alexandra.

GROWING APART| Tips to Help You Fix Your Friendship

Hello Lovelies,
Welcome to today’s post. It rained cats and dogs yesterday so the weather here in Lagos is subtle and cool. What’s the weather like where you live?

Today’s post is not a fashion post per se, it’s more of a lifestyle post. If you follow me on Instagram here (please go and do so now), you may/may not have seen my most recent post; where I gave you babes a heads up on today’s post. Please turn on post notification at the top right corner of my page so that you never miss another post from me, the new algorithm is a mess but there’s hope.

1.Call them: Try to reach out to them. Nothing brings back memories than hearing your friend’s voice. Distance should never be an issue in friendships that mean that world to you; unless you see this as an opportunity to cut off ties with that person.

2.Make A Plan To See Them Eye To Eye: You can pick a mutual location you both enjoy, or one you have been longing to visit and meet up there. TIP: You can write out a list of things you’d li…

AN HONEST REVIEW OF ASWANI MARKET LAGOS- MY EXPERIENCE

Quote of the Day: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all other things shall be added unto you.
Hi, dolls! Welcome to today's post. How are you doing? Forgive me for the long time no post here on the blog I've been very busy in the non-virtual world. If you follow me on Instagramyou would have noticed the hiatus there as well. It's been one thing or the other for your girl Lily of Nigeria, but our God is faithful to the pulling down of strongholds.

Aswani is one of the most popular second-hand market (aka bend down select) in Lagos. My curiosity about Aswani market began last year when someone talked about it in a passing small talk. It wasn’t the first time I had heard of the market. I grew up(for a while in FESTAC town) so I knew the market existed, but I had never been there. I made up my mind to go and see for myself. You know your girl is a curious-kitty with a heart that constantly longs for adventures. So, I discussed it with a trusted family m…

SAVIOURS AGAINST DRY SKIN THIS HARMATTAN SEASON/COLD WEATHER | A SKINCARE POST

My mother's people have a saying that the best time to find out if a woman is truly beautiful is during the harmattan season, because you'll get to see her real skin/true beauty.
Happy new month guys! It's that time of the year again when we begin to think of how best to stop our skin from drying out and breaking. You might find this post helpful if you plan on coming to Nigeria/west Africa between November-February.

People in other parts of the world go through winter, West Africans go through the dry and most times unforgiving harmattan. Regardless, the dry season as it is generally called is my favourite season. From dry skin to dusty looking skin to severe cases of broken skin with sores, if you have lived/live in Nigeria then you most likely have a harmattan skin story.
To prepare your skin for this period, it's best you review your beauty regimen and find out what works best for you, and check in with your dermatologist if you have …
