MY GO TO TRAVEL OUTFIT IDEA| What to Wear | Casual Fashion Inspiration

Hello my Lovelies! How have you been? It's been one week since my last post. I'm so giddy, and can't wait for yu to see what I've been working on behind the scenes.

Hint: Gotta give all those models and youtubers some more respect yo, it's not easy!
By the way, if you've never checked out my YouTube Channel Lily of Nigeria you can do so here
Do you ever get into that semi travel panic mode of what do I wear! I used to, until I found my groove, which is basically anything that gives me peace and comfort; which includes ease, in case i need to use the loo.

However, lately, my go to outfit has been this denim on denim look and my trusty royal blue flats...
In the realm of fashion for some years, denim on denim was regarded as a fashion faux pas.
However, I remember a picture of Sade Adu rocking this trend and totally nailing it. To be honest, Sade slays anything she puts on.

My travel outfit always has to abide by the rule of comfort. I've been to a lot of places seen and heard things(y'all know I love to travel); and, I want to be at peace, you know, just in case...
This jeans trouser is an a straight cut. It's pretty loose, but at the same time fulfils it's necessity as a ladies jeans haha, which is to make your butt look good (ladies can you relate? Come through and comment below).
When mixing denim on denim though, you want to avoid overdoing it. God forbid we end up looking like that 2001 look Justin Timberlake and Brittany Spears failed to pull off. You can see what I'm talking about here yep, the internet doesn't forget.

What do you wear when you travel? Let me know by commenting.

Keep trying to be the change you seek. Keep learning new ways to positively impact the lives around you,and you. Keep doing what you want to be remembered for. By God's grace, I'll see you in my next post.

Have a beautiful week,

GROWING APART| Tips to Help You Fix Your Friendship

Hello Lovelies,
Welcome to today’s post. It rained cats and dogs yesterday so the weather here in Lagos is subtle and cool. What’s the weather like where you live?

Today’s post is not a fashion post per se, it’s more of a lifestyle post. If you follow me on Instagram here (please go and do so now), you may/may not have seen my most recent post; where I gave you babes a heads up on today’s post. Please turn on post notification at the top right corner of my page so that you never miss another post from me, the new algorithm is a mess but there’s hope.

1.Call them: Try to reach out to them. Nothing brings back memories than hearing your friend’s voice. Distance should never be an issue in friendships that mean that world to you; unless you see this as an opportunity to cut off ties with that person.

2.Make A Plan To See Them Eye To Eye: You can pick a mutual location you both enjoy, or one you have been longing to visit and meet up there. TIP: You can write out a list of things you’d li…

AN HONEST REVIEW OF ASWANI MARKET LAGOS- MY EXPERIENCE

Quote of the Day: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all other things shall be added unto you.
Hi, dolls! Welcome to today's post. How are you doing? Forgive me for the long time no post here on the blog I've been very busy in the non-virtual world. If you follow me on Instagramyou would have noticed the hiatus there as well. It's been one thing or the other for your girl Lily of Nigeria, but our God is faithful to the pulling down of strongholds.

Aswani is one of the most popular second-hand market (aka bend down select) in Lagos. My curiosity about Aswani market began last year when someone talked about it in a passing small talk. It wasn’t the first time I had heard of the market. I grew up(for a while in FESTAC town) so I knew the market existed, but I had never been there. I made up my mind to go and see for myself. You know your girl is a curious-kitty with a heart that constantly longs for adventures. So, I discussed it with a trusted family m…

SAVIOURS AGAINST DRY SKIN THIS HARMATTAN SEASON/COLD WEATHER | A SKINCARE POST

My mother's people have a saying that the best time to find out if a woman is truly beautiful is during the harmattan season, because you'll get to see her real skin/true beauty.
Happy new month guys! It's that time of the year again when we begin to think of how best to stop our skin from drying out and breaking. You might find this post helpful if you plan on coming to Nigeria/west Africa between November-February.

People in other parts of the world go through winter, West Africans go through the dry and most times unforgiving harmattan. Regardless, the dry season as it is generally called is my favourite season. From dry skin to dusty looking skin to severe cases of broken skin with sores, if you have lived/live in Nigeria then you most likely have a harmattan skin story.
To prepare your skin for this period, it's best you review your beauty regimen and find out what works best for you, and check in with your dermatologist if you have …
