Summer 2017 Lookbook : Office Outfit Ideas

Hello Loves! Glad to have you here, welcome to today's post. If you missed the last one on Saturday, you can catch up by clicking here
Have you noticed the new things on the site? Actually, they're not really new I've had them here for a while now; I just tweaked them a little, you know me...

We're knee ankle deep into summer, and well some of us need inspiration on what to wear to the office. This post is about how I style this red and black plaid skirt to the office. I waited close to 8 years to be able to wear this skirt becuase I used to be fat. It actually has a jacket, but the jacket is too big for me now so I use my black blazer(which I forgot at home when I went to shoot) with it when necessary.

First Look:
I use a not so see through black long sleeve chiffon top. It's definitely a serious look for an uptight office. Sometimes I complete this look with my black flats from Dunes.

Second Look:
I mostly throw on my black jacket when rocking this look because my office can be chilly at times. I love the pattern of this shirt and how it feels against my body.

Haha remember this particular picture from Sunday's Instagram post?

This third Look is more laid back. It is actuallly one of my crazy experiments. I mean who mixes denim and plaid? So, if your office is chilled, and kinnda laidback(more focused with how productive the individual is, rather than what they wear on their bodies), this look is definitely one to try out.

What look is your favourite?

Keep trying to be the change you seek. Keep learning new ways to positively impact the lives around you,and you. Keep doing what you want to be remembered for. By God's grace, I'll see you in my next post.

AN HONEST REVIEW OF ASWANI MARKET LAGOS- MY EXPERIENCE

Quote of the Day : S eek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all other things shall be added unto you. Hi, dolls! Welcome to today's post. How are you doing? Forgive me for the long time no post here on the blog I've been very busy in the non-virtual world. If you follow me on Instagram you would have noticed the hiatus there as well. It's been one thing or the other for your girl Lily of Nigeria , but our God is faithful to the pulling down of strongholds. Aswani is one of the most popular second-hand market (aka bend down select ) in Lagos. My curiosity about Aswani market began last year when someone talked about it in a passing small talk. It wasn’t the first time I had heard of the market. I grew up(for a while in FESTAC town) so I knew the market existed, but I had never been there. I made up my mind to go and see for myself. You know your girl is a curious-kitty with a heart that constantly longs for adventures. So, I discuss

GROWING APART| Tips to Help You Fix Your Friendship

Hello Lovelies, Welcome to today’s post. It rained cats and dogs yesterday so the weather here in Lagos is subtle and cool. What’s the weather like where you live? Today’s post is not a fashion post per se, it’s more of a lifestyle post. If you follow me on Instagram here (please go and do so now), you may/may not have seen my most recent post; where I gave you babes a heads up on today’s post. Please turn on post notification at the top right corner of my page so that you never miss another post from me, the new algorithm is a mess but there’s hope. 1.     Call them : Try to reach out to them. Nothing brings back memories than hearing your friend’s voice. Distance should never be an issue in friendships that mean that world to you; unless you see this as an opportunity to cut off ties with that person. 2.        Make A Plan To See Them Eye To Eye : You can pick a mutual location you both enjoy, or one you have been longing to visit and meet up there. SAVIOURS AGAINST DRY SKIN THIS HARMATTAN SEASON/COLD WEATHER | A SKINCARE POST

My mother's people have a saying that the best time to find out if a woman is truly beautiful is during the harmattan season,  because you'll get to see her real skin/true beauty. Happy new month guys! It's that time of the year again when we begin to think of how best to stop our skin from drying out and breaking. You might find this post helpful if you plan on coming to Nigeria/west Africa between November-February. Click to Follow Me on Bloglovin People in other parts of the world go through winter, West Africans go through the dry and most times unforgiving harmattan. Regardless, the dry season as it is generally called is my favourite season. From dry skin to dusty looking skin to severe cases of broken skin with sores, if you have lived/live in Nigeria then you most likely have a harmattan skin story. To prepare your skin for this period, it's best you review your beauty regimen and find out what works best for you, and check in with your dermatologist if
